Bring it home and reject Trump's white nationalist authoritarianism on November 6

This will be my closing message, as a political blogger, before Election Day this year.

As President of the United States, Donald Trump has completely disgraced America, and the Republican Party has enabled Trump's disgracing of this great country. It's almost impossible to count the ways that Trump has disgraced this country, but I'll list a large number of them.

Early on in the Trump presidency, Trump crony Kellyanne Conway went on NBC's Meet the Press and helped set the tone for the entire Trump presidency by claiming that then-White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer was using "alternative facts" to describe the crowd size at Trump's inauguration. Since then, it has become inherently clear that the entire Trump regime has been built on a pyramid of lies, deceit, fearmongering, and hatred.

When it comes to immigration, Trump's policies and rhetoric pander to far-right extremists who want to end immigration to this country, even though America is a nation of immigrants. Trump supports a border wall boondoggle that would be a gigantic waste of taxpayer dollars that would do virtually nothing to improve U.S. national security. The Trump Administration enacted a barbaric family separation policy at the U.S./Mexico border that resulted in children being separated from their parents and locked in cages. More recently, Trump has gone to the total extreme with anti-immigration rhetoric and proposals. Trump has repeatedly used extremely hateful anti-immigrant rhetoric, including trying to blame Democrats for a cop-killing undocumented immigrant who was released by a Republican sheriff in Arizona and re-entered the country under the administration of a Republican president. Even worse, Trump has proposed sending U.S. troops to the U.S./Mexico border to shoot and kill migrants, which would turn the U.S./Mexico border into Kent State circa 1970.

When it comes to taxes, the Republican tax scam law has resulted in less revenue for the federal government and a higher federal budget deficit, while doing absolutely nothing to stimulate job growth in America.

When it comes to health care, Republicans are publicly claiming to support protecting health insurance coverage for those with pre-existing conditions, while suing to eliminate the very health insurance coverage protections for those with pre-existing conditions. Republicans also want to cut funding to Medicare and Medicaid.

When it comes to the social safety net, Republicans have indicated that they'll cut Social Security benefits if they retain control of Congress.

When it comes to international trade, the Trump trade war has done nothing to bring American-made goods back to American store shelves, while destroying American agriculture, most notably the export-dependent U.S. soybean industry.

When it comes to foreign policy, Trump has enabled authoritarian dictators around the world. Trump publicly sided with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin at the Helsinki summit between Trump and Putin. Trump has also appeased North Korean dictator Vladimir Putin and praised Chinese dictator Xi Jinping for declaring himself "president-for-life".

When it comes to keeping Americans safe, Trump's rhetoric has, even if it was not his intention to incite violence, encouraged far-right domestic terrorists to commit acts of violence, including the attempted bombings against prominent Democrats, the Pittsburgh synagogue massacre, and the Jacksonville, Florida yoga class shooting.

When it comes to the rule of law, Trump believes that he is above the law, and that he can unilaterally override the U.S. Constitution by executive order. Trump has long wanted to fire Robert Mueller, the special prosecutor who is conducting a criminal investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. Trump has publicly threatened to issue an executive order invalidating the portion of the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and ending birthright U.S. citizenship, which would be a blatant constitutional violation.

When it comes to honesty, Trump and his Republican cohorts have concocted an alternative reality that has no basis in truth. Republicans have implied that Israel is part of the United States, but Puerto Rico isn't part of the United States. In reality, Israel is a sovereign country in its own right, and Puerto Rico is part of the United States despite not being a state and lacking full representation in either house of Congress. Trump has repeatedly boasted about steel mills opening that are non-existent, and falsely claimed that photo identification is necessary to buy groceries.

On Election Day, November 6, 2018, if you have not already voted, vote for Democratic candidates to begin the process to restore democracy in America, protect the legal rights of the American people, and hold President Trump accountable. Bring it home for We the People!
