Michelle Wolf speaks the truth about how the corporate media has enabled Trump

I'm not a fan of the White House Correspondents' Dinner (WHCD), as the WHCD is a textbook example of the corporate media caring more about themselves than the interests of the American people, but the star of the show at the WHCD last night was comedian Michelle Wolf, who basically said what she thought of President Donald Trump (who was not at the WHCD so that he could falsely and absurdly try to take credit for improved relations between South Korea and North Korea) and his cronies and enablers:
(Wolf) told the crowd she was 32, or "20 years too old for Roy Moore. That's right, he almost got elected."

Wolf then added, "It's 2018 and I am a woman, so you cannot shut me up. Unless you're Michael Cohen and you wan to wire me $130,000," referring to the reported $130,000 that Trump's personal lawyer paid adult-film actress Stephanie Clifford (better known under her stage name Stormy Daniels) to remain silent about an alleged affair with trump...

[...]
Wolf took the opportunity to criticize (Kellyanne Conway and Sarah Huckabee Sanders), asking the press why it gave airtime to Conway, who she said "lies" every time she gets on the television. "It's like that old saying, if a tree falls in the woods, how do we get Kellyanne under that tree?" Wolf then added that she didn't want Conway to get hurt, just to get "stuck."

Wolf also compared Sanders to Anne Dowd's character on the Hulu series The Handmaid's Tale, as well as a softball coach, but one who would chastise CNN chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta.
(added context mine)

I don't approve of Wolf using a violent metaphor in reference to Kellyanne Conway, and I would never wish getting stuck under a tree on Conway or anyone else, although it is true that Conway, like Sarah Huckabee Sanders and pretty much everyone else closely associated with Trump, is a habitual liar who can't be trusted. However, one thing I do approve of is Wolf saying the truth about the far-right, pro-Trump corporate media in this country has enabled Donald Trump's fascist administration, and saying it on the corporate news media's biggest stage:
Wolf did not hesitate to take the media members present at the dinner to task for covering Trump extensively during the 2016 presidential campaign and then criticizing him during his presidency. "You guys are obsessed with Trump. did you used to date him? You act like you hate him, but I think you really love him." She added, "You helped create this monster and now you're profiting off of him."
In a way, Wolf's WHCD speech was, to use a professional wrestling metaphor, her "Austin 3:16" moment. In a similar way to how professional wrestler "Stone Cold" Steve Austin became a household name after trash-talking his opponent after defeating him in the final match of the WWF (now WWE) King of the Ring tournament in 1996, Wolf spoke her mind about Donald Trump, the Republican Party, and their enablers, including speaking the truth about how the corporate media enables Trump and the Republicans on a daily basis.
